Young Football Ferns Selections
Five players from Western Springs premier women's team have been selected to represented New Zealand U17 Women in the forthcoming International Tri-Series to be held in Auckland during December. Danielle McFadyen, Briony Fisher, Jessica Rollings, Nadia Pearl and Rosie White will get the opportunity to test themselves against some of the best players in the world at youth level with the visit to New Zealand of the Korea Republic who have already qualified through Asia for the U17 Womens World Cup plus South American footballing powerhouse Chile. The Tri-Series represents an important part of the Young Football Ferns preparation for the FIFA U17 Women's World Cup which of course will be held in Aotearoa in November 2008.
